Merge PDF files in your browser

Add two or more PDFs, put them in the order you want, and download one combined file. The PDFs are read and merged on your device.

Your files stay on your device. The site uses analytics and ads.

Add two or more PDFs to join them. Files are merged in the order shown.

How the merge order works

Each file is added to the output in the order shown in the list. If you add a cover page PDF, a main document and an appendix PDF, put them in that order before merging.

The list shows each file’s page count and size. Page thumbnails are not available in this version, so check the file names before merging. To reorder pages inside one PDF, split that file first.

Protected and broken PDFs

A password-protected PDF is skipped with a message. This tool does not guess passwords or remove protection. Open the file in the app that created it, save an unprotected copy, then add that copy.

A file that is not a valid PDF is also reported and not added. Check that the download finished and that the file opens in a PDF viewer before you try again.

Large PDFs and memory

The merge runs in your browser, one file at a time. A 50 MB scan or a large batch can take a while and use a lot of memory on an older phone. Keep the page open until the merge finishes, and download the result before closing the tab.

What this tool cannot do

  • It does not remove PDF passwords or encryption.
  • It does not compress the merged file.
  • It does not add bookmarks, page numbers or a table of contents.
  • It does not show page thumbnails or let you reorder pages inside a file.
  • It does not upload the files anywhere.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Add the PDFs

Choose two or more PDF files. Each file shows its page count and size before merging.

  2. Step 2

    Set the order

Use the up and down buttons to arrange the files. Pages are appended in this list order.

  3. Step 3

    Merge the files

Select Merge and watch the progress. Protected PDFs are skipped with a message.

  4. Step 4

    Download the result

Check the merged page count and download the PDF. Open it in a viewer before sending it on.

Frequently asked questions

How do I merge PDF files?

Add the PDFs, reorder them with the up and down buttons, select Merge, then download the result. The files stay in your browser during the merge.

Can I change the page order?

You can change the order of the files, and their pages are added in that order. This version does not reorder pages inside a single PDF; merge and split tools would be needed for that.

What happens to password-protected PDFs?

They are skipped with a message. The tool does not try to guess or remove passwords. Use an unprotected copy or remove the password in the app that created it.

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. The PDFs are read and merged in your browser with a bundled PDF library. The site loads analytics and ads, but your files are not sent to a server.

Is there a page or file size limit?

There is no fixed limit, but very large PDFs or many files can be slow and use a lot of memory on a phone. The tool processes one file at a time and shows progress.
