Resize a photo or signature to exact pixels and KB
Enter the size and a KB limit, then crop the preview. Processing runs in your browser; the image is not uploaded.

Photo and signature sizes in pixels
At 300 DPI, a 35 x 45 mm photo is 413 x 531 pixels, a 2 x 2 inch photo is 600 x 600 pixels, and a 30 x 40 mm photo is 354 x 472 pixels. The tool shows the pixel result after you choose a preset or enter a custom size.
These are common sizes, not a claim about any particular form. Read the upload rule and use the exact value it asks for.
How the KB target works
For JPG and WebP, the tool lowers the encoder quality until the file fits your maximum KB. It keeps the pixel size you asked for, so a very strict limit can produce a soft image. PNG is lossless and ignores the KB target; choose JPG or WebP when a form enforces a size limit.
A minimum KB is optional. If the file is smaller than the minimum at the chosen pixel size, the tool reports it and still lets you download the best result. It does not pad the file with extra data.
Signature photo tips
Use a plain white background and dark ink. Keep the whole signature inside the crop, with a little space around it. The tool does not remove a background or straighten a skewed photo, so take the photo as straight as you can.
What this tool cannot do
- It does not write DPI metadata into the file. Upload forms check pixels and file size.
- It does not remove a background or turn a colour background into white.
- It does not decode HEIC photos in browsers that cannot read them; convert the photo to JPG first.
- Stretch mode can distort faces and signatures; use Fill or Fit unless the form demands stretch.
- It does not upload, verify or submit anything to a portal.
Other KB targets
How it works
- Step 1
Add a photo or signature
Use a JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF image. A signature works best on a plain white background.
- Step 2
Choose the size
Pick a preset or enter custom pixels, millimetres, centimetres or inches at your chosen DPI.
- Step 3
Set the KB limit and crop
Enter a maximum KB, optionally a minimum, choose the fit mode and drag the preview to position the crop.
- Step 4
Check and download
Confirm the pixel size and KB result, then download the JPG, PNG or WebP file.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize a photo to 300x400 pixels?
Choose the Photo 300 x 400 px preset, add your image, then download the result. For another size, choose Custom size and enter the width and height in pixels.
Can I set a 20KB or 50KB file size limit?
Yes. Enter 20 or 50 as the maximum KB. The tool lowers JPEG or WebP quality until the file fits, but it keeps the pixel size you asked for. If the target is impossible at that size, it shows the smallest result and says so.
Does the tool write DPI into the file?
No. The exported file keeps the pixel dimensions but does not store DPI metadata. Upload forms usually check pixels and file size; printing at a physical size depends on your print app.
Can I resize a signature?
Yes. Use the Signature 200 x 230 px preset or a custom size. Use a signature photo with a plain white background; the tool does not remove backgrounds.
Does resizing remove EXIF metadata?
Yes. The image is re-encoded through the Canvas API, which drops EXIF data such as GPS location and camera details.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The image is read, cropped and encoded in your browser. The site loads analytics and ads, but your image is not sent to a server.
